Ich bin ein sehr vielseitige Mensch. Es gibt wenig, was ich noch nicht probiert habe und auch nicht probieren möchte.
Beruflich/studienbezogen fühle ich mich in der Informatik mit ihrer Architektur, Programmiererei und Strukturierung ebenso heimisch, wie in der digitalen Gestaltung mit ihrer Ästhetik, Eleganz, Eigenwilligkeit und ihren eigenen Arten mit Dogmen umzugehen. So habe ich mich schon in diversen Programmierumgebungen umgesehen, mich an Musik und 3dModellierung versucht, mit Film und Animation gearbeitet und auch im 2d- und Webbereich war ich bereits aktiv. Seit einiger Zeit entdecke ich auch die analoge Kunst (vornehmlich mit Kohle, Kreide und Bleistift) für mich.
Außer zum arbeiten kann man einen PC auch wunderbar zum Spielen nutzen. Wenn ich die Zeit dazu habe dann fröne ich also auch diesen Göttern. Leider ist das mit Voranschreiten meines Studiums aber immer seltener der Fall.
Bevor ich mich mit den Abgründen der Digitalität und den Aufgaben eines Designers ernsthaft beschäftigt habe (ich war schon immer mit Photoshop, Leveleditoren diverser Computerspiele sowie meinen Musikinstrumenten zu gange, aber halt nicht mit Hintergedanken) habe ich einen fast 3 Jahre währenden Ausflug in die Juristerei gewagt. Nicht das, was ich für mein Leben heute als passend ansehe, aber dennoch keine vertane Zeit. Man lernt dabei viel für’s Leben.
Privat neige ich auch zu Vielseitigkeit, neben diversen Sportarten, die ich bereits ausgeübt habe (u.a. Snowboarden, Eishockey, Inline Skating, Windsurfing, Buggy Kiting, sowie Kite Surfing, Leichtathletik, Tischtennis, Judo und Wing Tsun, verschiedene Formen der Jonglage sowie seit einigen Jahren Schwert- Florett und Degen-Kampf) übe ich mich auch im Umgang mit der Gitarre und dem Keyboard – mehr schlecht als recht, wie ich zugeben muss.
Allgemein bin ich ein sehr ehrgeiziger Mensch – wenn ich ein Ziel vor Augen habe. Sehe ich ein erreichbares Ziel, welches ich als wesentlich erachte, greift mein Perfektionismus. Dann kommt es gern mal vor, dass ich eine ganze Nacht an einem Detail sitze, da ich „zu genau“ weiß, was ich will und nicht eher aufgebe, als dass ich zu Frieden bin.

I am a very versatile person. There are only few thinks that I have not tried yet and don’t want to.
In terms of work and studies I feel comfortable as well in the area of the computer sciences with all its architecture, programming and sophisticated structures as in the design with its aesthetics, elegance,
its very own way to handle things and to handle with dogmata. That is why I have visited numerous programming environments, tried myself in music and 3d modelling, worked on film and animation and also have been in the area of 2d and the web. For some time now I am discovering the analogue arts for myself, favouring charcoal, chalk and pencils.
Besides work the PC is a machine that is magnificent in presenting astonishing games. Since I was a young child I also served these gods whenever there was time – even though my advancing studies in digital media don’t leave much room to this nowadays.
Before I went serious on the abyss of digitality and the exercises of being an upcoming designer (I have been messing around with PhotoShop etc. and level editors for video games since I could handle a mouse and practised the music since I got to school, but never with any deeper intentions) I dared a 3 years long jump into the realms of jurisprudence. From my present view I have to say it definitely had no future even though it is no lost time. It tells you a lot about life in general.
Even in private affairs I tend to versatility. Besides various sports I have been doing (e.g. snow boarding, ice hockey, inline skating, wind surfing, buggy kiting as well as kite surfing, track&field athletics, table tennis, judo & wing chun, juggling and for some years now fencing with foil, epee and sword) I am playing the guitar and the keyboard; but those I must admit to be at most mediocre with.
I am a very ambitious person – whenever I have a target in mind. If I see a reachable goal which I realise as reasonable my perfectionism kicks in. Then it is quite probable to see me working till dawn on a single detail I am not quite fine with, because I have a „too close“ image in mind of what I want and don’t let it down before I have achieved that image.
