Es ist endlich so weit. Vor wenigen Tagen erreichte mich ein Brief, der die Anmeldung meiner Master Arbeit mit dem Titel „Generative Music Scoring for Interactive Entertainment Software“ bestätigte und mir auch gleich mitteilte, wann ich fertig zu sein habe: Am 24.06.2013. (Nachtrag: Ich bekam einen Aufschub bis zum 26.August)
Das Einreichen der Anmeldung bedeutete für mich vor allem eines „Ärmel hoch krämpeln und los legen“. Ich habe wie wild PureData-Code gestrickt, habe mich an C-Extensions versucht (und sie als es mich zu sehr an das C-Desaster in meinem Bachelor Report erinnerte wieder verworfen) und bin dann bei Python gelandet. Jetzt bin ich die ganze Zeit am Coden wie ein irrer und bin inzwischen dabei angekommen, Musiktheorie zu implementieren, die ich aber noch nie gelernt hatte. Also merke ich immer wieder, was ich schon zuvor ahnte. „Dieses Thema hat eine ganz schöne Spannweite“. Ich möchte das ein mal mit einem für mich derzeit alltäglichen Screenshot illustrieren:

(post scriptum: I got a delay until the 26th of August.)
Handing in the application had one major implication for me: I had to hitch up my knickers and start working. So I built PureData code like crazy, tried C-extensions (and got rid of it after it started remembering me of the C-desaster in my bachelor report) and finally got stuck on Python which I really love by now. Now I continue to code like there is no tomorrow and by now arrived at the point where I implement music theory that I never have heard of before.
So basically I see everyday what I conjectured all the time before. „This topic has some epic span!“
